Welcome to The United Federation of Osteopathic Societies {UFOS}
The United Federation of Osteopathic Societies (UFOS) is a coalition of state and divisional osteopathic organizations.
Comprised primarily of smaller state societies, UFOS was established to ensure that the American Osteopathic Association's policy development process and leadership representation are appropriately balanced. The strength of the UFOS comes from the unity of like-minded osteopathic organizations that come together in good faith to promote the osteopathic profession. The UFOS is currently comprised of thirty-eight states and the Military.

Karen J. Nichols, D.O.ChairKaren Nichols, DO, MA, MACOI, FACP, CS-F is an AOA-board certified internist who served as the President of the American Osteopathic Association in 2010-11, the first woman to hold that office.

Norman E. Vinn, D.O.Vice ChairNorman E. Vinn, D.O. MBA, Vice-Chair, is a board-certified family practitioner. He is the founder and Medical Director of Housecall Doctors Medical Group.

Scott S. Cyrus, D.O.Secretary/TreasurerScott S. Cyrus, D.O, FACOP is a board certified pediatrician teaching at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in Las Cruces, NM. He’s a professor and chief of pediatrics.
